Description
A molded hexagonal vase in sea blue with an eye-catching pattern of bubbles concave indentations. Attributed to the Stolle-Nieman factory (Huty Szklane Niemen, Poland) and made in the 1970s.
While similar designs from Czechoslovakia were made from thick glass, the techniques of the Polish factories favored similar motifs using thinner glass. The convex indentations catch the light at all angles so that the pattern seems to move constantly as you change the viewpoint, and the execution reflects the high standard of craftsmanship for which Poland became known.
